Throughout the month of May, Surrey Civic Theatres is offering videos specifically designed to engage and entertain children and their families. This initiative is supported in part by the Government of Canada, through the Department of Canadian Heritage Canada Arts Presentation Fund.

We hope these short videos filled with things kids love like music, magic and laughter bring a little joy.

Enjoy the following performances from Mil’s Trills, Charlotte Diamond, Rod Boss, Lee Edward Födi, and Ruploops!

Mil's Trills

Mil's Trills is led by Amelia Robinson (2018-19 Jubilation Foundation Fellow) who writes and performs original lively tunes on her electric ukulele with the help of a rotating cast of musical guests.

Charlotte Diamond

Charlotte Diamond is a Canadian children’s music treasure. Her concerts are fun for kids, but parents, and grandparents love her upbeat and fun music too. Diamond tours throughout Canada and the U.S., has 14 albums, and a string of awards including five Parents’ Choice Awards, three American Library Association Awards, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Commemorative Medal, as well as the Order of Canada.

Rod Boss

Since 1992, Rod Boss has thrilled countless audiences throughout Europe, Asia and North America. Whether it’s corporate or private, adult or family, Rod's cutting-edge interactive Comedy Magic impresses them all.

Lee Edward Födi

Lee Edward is a children’s author, illustrator, and specialized arts educator—or, as he describes himself, a daydreaming expert. Lee is the author of The Secret of Zoone and The Guardians of Zoone (HarperCollins Children's Books) and the Kendra Kandlestar series (Simply Read Books). He has also illustrated books for other authors.

RupLoops

RupLoops is an interactive, live looping performance, using vocal percussion, rhythmic rhymes and an arsenal of eclectic instruments from around the globe. Rup utilizes his diverse skills as a musician to create a pulsating, entertaining and engaging musical experience. He is a gifted educator and performer and has deep passion for intercultural work and intercultural sounds.
