Hear excerpts from the Surrey Archives' Indo-Canadian oral history collection. The recordings share the unique stories from Surrey residents about the immigrant experience during the ‘60s through ‘80s, including first impressions of Surrey and how the South Asian community and Surrey itself have grown.

Presented by Surrey Archives assistant archivist Stacey Gilkinson and local historian Jazmin Hundal. Hundal will share her process in uncovering the stories of a historically marginalized community, highlighting her discoveries about Surrey’s early South Asian immigrants.
