Invitation to Tenderers

The City of Surrey (the "Owner") invites Tenders for Strawberry Hill Hall Rehabilitation at Strawberry Hill Hall, located at 12152 75 Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia, V3W 2S5.

The Work includes the provision of all equipment, labour, disposals, materials and incidentals required to complete all of the Work as described herein these tender documents for the Strawberry Hill Hall Rehabilitation.

The Work includes but is not limited to: Following hazardous material remediation and selective demolition of the existing rear storage shed, existing stairs/landings/ramps and connected services, the historic meeting hall will be moved to a new location on site and securely shored up, which should occur within two (2) weeks of contract award. New reinforced concrete foundations will be excavated and constructed for the hall and a new rear storage shed addition, as well as ramps and stairs. New washrooms will be constructed, including a universal toilet room and a universal washroom with four individual toilet rooms. The existing kitchen will be full rehabilitated with new millwork. The rehabilitation will include new cedar shingle cladding and roof surface, four new twin wood double hung windows, new interior finishes including new fir T&G flooring in the hall, tile in the washrooms and sheet vinyl in the kitchen. New service systems will include all new plumbing, ventilation and a new gas furnace connecting to existing ducting and all new electrical system and lighting fixtures. The existing parking lot will be expanded and improved with islands, concrete block retaining walls on the east and south edges, landscape and lighting.

The Contract is based on the Canadian Construction Documents Committee CCDC-2 Stipulated Price Contract, 2008 edition and the City of Surrey, Supplementary General Conditions.

Tenderers are required to check the Owner’s Website for any updated information and addenda issued before the Closing Time.

If the Owner determines that an amendment is required to this ITT, the Owner’s Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the Owner’s website (the “Owner’s Website”) and upon posting will be deemed to form a part of this ITT.  No amendment of any kind to the ITT is effective unless it is posted in a formal written addendum on the Owner’s Website.  Upon submitting a Tender, Tenderers will be deemed to have received notice of all addenda that are posted on the Owner’s Website.

All inquiries related to this ITT should be directed in writing to the person named below (the “Owner’s Representative”).  Information obtained from any person or source other than the Owner Representative may not be relied upon.
